Zhamanak: Sentence in V. Permaykov desertion case comes into force
The court sentence in the desertion case against Valery Permyakov - a Russian soldier charged with deserting the Russian 102nd military base in Gyumri, Armenia, while carrying arms illegally, and killing the Avetisyan family - has come into force. He is now kept in custody at the Russian military base. The sentence does not say where Permyakov will serve his prison term until the trial of the Armenian side starts., ‘Zhamanak’ paper writes.
Lawyers Lusine Sahakyan and Yervand Varosyan who are representatives of the Avetisyans’ legal successors could not tell anything to the paper . They said that Russian side did not provide them with information about the issue. It is also unclear at the moment when Permyakov will be handed over to the Armenian side.
