Education minister Ashotyan says he worked in shoe making workshop while in school
Armenian Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan attended today a festive event held on Knowledge Day in Yerevan school No 45, of which he is a graduate. Then the minister visited senior school No 2 and spoke to 12th graders.
During the conversation Ashotyan praised a pupil who said he worked in a supermarket in the summer to help his parents. Ashotyan recalled that he worked in a show making workshop when he was in the tenth grade.
“There is nothing wrong with working. It does credit to you. If you want to dream, you should be prepared to pay a price for your dreams,” the official said noting that in the West all students work and they are not ashamed of it.
