PM: Arpine Hovhannisyan is one of candidates for justice minister
Armenian parliament deputy of ‘Republican Party of Armenia’ (RPA) faction Ms. Arpine Hovhannisyan is one of the candidates for justice minister of Armenia, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan told reporters today.
According to the prime minister, the issue of a new justice minister will be discussed with the Armenian president, and the new minister will be appointed within the next 10-15 days.
When asked why the appointment of a justice minister is being delayed, H. Abrahamyan replied that the holiday season has just ended, although the ministry operated as usual during that period.
Armenian Justice Minister Hovhannes Manukyan was relieved of his post on July 14 by a decree of President Serzh Sargsyan and in accordance with the Constitution.
