Islamic State executes 120 associates over attempted coup
On August 31, more than 120 militants of the terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) were executed in the Iraqi province of Ninawa after being accused of attempting to commit a coup and eliminate the leader of the "Islamic State" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, representative of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan Said Mamuzini told Al Sumaria TV Channel, says Ukrinform.
According to Mamuzini, the coup was planned to be held on Sunday, August 30.
“But two days ago, five militants were arrested. They revealed the plans of the conspirators,” he said.
As a result, 122 militants, including 18 field commanders, were killed in a prison in the south of the city of Mosul. As the Mamuzini said, “a split in IS is becoming evident”.
In the struggle for the distribution of financial flows, power and influence killed dozens of militants, said the representative of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan.
