Armenia’s state debt amounted to $4 billion 723 million as of July 31, 2015, according to ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily. The state debt grew by over $42.5 million compared to June 30 and by $281 million since the beginning of the year.

The main reason for the state debt’s increase was the growing foreign debt which increased by $240 million since early 2015 and passed $ 4 billion mark for the first time by reaching $4.24 billion. By the state budget program, Armenia’s foreign debt was expected to be $3.4 billion.
