Defense ministry spokesman: No indications of large-scale hostilities
The Armenian armed forces are in full control of the situation and able to respond to attacks of the enemy, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan told reporters at a press conference today when asked if the time has not come to appeal to Collective Security Treaty Organization, given the tense situation on the border in recent days and Azerbaijani troops’ actions.
“There is no such need at the moment,” Hovhannisyan said noting that in any case, military actions are taking place, but it is still early to speak about large-scale hostilities.
“We cannot rule anything, but there are currently no indications of large-scale hostilities,” the ministry spokesman said.
