Situation at Armenian-Azerbaijani border relatively calm now – Defense ministry spokesman
Although the situation was quite tense last night in several villages of Armenia’s Tavush province at the border with Azerbaijan, it is relatively calm at the moment, Armenian Defense Ministry’s spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Panorama.am.
“No serviceman was injured. Two civilians received wounds. They are currently in hospital,” he said.
As was reported earlier, last night Azerbaijani troops continued firing at border villages in Tavush province of Armenia, as a result of which two civilians – a woman and her son received wounds. The wounded residents of Koti village in Tavush province – Nazik and Razmik Tumanyans were taken to Noyemberian medical center. “Their condition is now assessed as good. They are out of danger,” the village head Feliks Melikyan told Panorama.am.
