Criminal case opened after two residents of Koti village in Armenia wounded by Azerbaijani gunfire
Tavush regional investigative department of Armenia’s Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the Criminal Code’s Articles 34 and 104 part 2 points 6 and 13 – attempted murder of two or more people committed out of ethnic, racial or religious hatred.
Around 9:30 pm September 2, 2015 the Azerbaijani side opened fire from arms of various calibers at the village of Koti in Armenia’s Tavush province. Two residents of the village – N. Petrosyan and R. Tumanyan were hospitalized as a result.
According to the press service of Investigative Committee, N. Petrosyan were wounded in the neck, the back, legs, while R. Tumanyan received a gunshot wound to the leg. Both were recognized as aggrieved parties. An investigation is underway.
