Zhoghovurd: Armenian president to head command and staff drills
Three-day command and staff drills are starting in Armenia today. ‘Zhoghovurd’ paper writes that such exercises were held in the past as well and were guided by defense minister or an official of the Armenian presidential staff. The paper learned that this time Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan will command the drills personally.
“Different kinds of situations will be simulated during the drills, such as an escalation in Kurd-Turkish clashes, and heightened tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border,” the paper says.
