Ruling party finally takes decision: Arpine Hovhannisyan to be appointed justice minister of Armenia
The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has discussed the issue of appointing RPA parliamentary faction deputy Arpine Hovhannisyan as justice minister of Armenia. As a result, the decision on her appointment was approved, the Armenian parliament speaker Galust Sahakyan said during a briefing in the National Assembly today.
To remind, the issue of appointing deputy of Republican Party of Armenia’s (RPA) parliamentary faction Arpine Hovhannisyan as justice minister of Armenia was discussed at the September 3 sitting of Executive Body of the ruling RPA, the vice speaker of the parliament, spokesman for RPA Edward Sharmazanov told reporters following the sitting. “The RPA is well disposed towards Arpine Hovhannisyan and positively assesses her activities. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan conferred with RPA Executive Body members. He will take a decision, “Sharmazanov said adding that Arpine Hovhannisyan was also present at the sitting. Armenian Justice Minister Hovhannes Manukyan was relieved of his position on July 14 by a decree of President Sargsyan and pursuant to the Constitution.
