NKR Defense Ministry: Azerbaijan violates ceasefire 1000 times in past week
On August 30 – September 5 the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire about 1000 times on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, according to the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
Azerbaijani frontline units fired over 14,000 shots at Armenian positions over that period, using small arms of various calibers, 60 mm, 82 mm and 120 mm mortars, and RPG-7 and AGS-17 grenade launchers. Azerbaijan also used Turkish-made TR-107 multi-barrel rocket launcher.
The frontline units of NKR Defense Army gave a proportionate response to offensive actions of the enemy and took the necessary measures to organize a reliable defense of the army positions.
