Serzh Sargsyan, Andrzej Kasprzyk discuss situation on border and line of contact with Azerbaijan
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today, on September 5, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk, the presidential press service said.
The interlocutors discussed issues concerning the situation in the past few days on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border and the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan.
S. Sargsyan and A. Kasprzyk expressed concern over ceasefire violations that intensified along the line of contact.
Serzh Sargsyan stressed the importance of reaching an agreement on the introduction of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ proposed mechanisms to investigate incidents. This will allow avoiding such escalations and human losses, the president said. He positively assessed the fact that the Office of Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office conducts monitoring more frequently.
The interlocutors touched upon ‘Shant-2015’ command and staff drills being held in Armenia on September 3-6 and their aims.
