Authorities plan to allow Russian citizens to visit Armenia without international passports
At the weekly session today the Armenian government approved an agreement on cooperation with France in the sphere of migration, under which students and young specialists will get the opportunity to study and work in the friendly country. Besides, the intergovernmental agreement will help stem the flow of illegal migrants from Armenia to France.
Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan instructed Head of Migration Service of Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations Gagik Yeganyan to discuss with Russian colleagues the issue of facilitating Russian citizens’ travel to Armenia by using domestic passports.
In his words, allowing Russian citizens to visit Armenia without international passports will boost economic activity and tourism in Armenia.
