Shavarsh Kocharyan: No official invitation sent to Crimea leader Sergey Aksyonov
No official invitation to visit Armenia was sent to Prime Minister of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters after the government session today.
“As far I as know, no one invited Aksyonov,” the deputy FM told reporters. He added that anyone may arrive in Armenia and there are no restrictions in that regard.
Deputy PM of the Crimean government, permanent representative of Crimea to the Russian president Georgy Muradov said earlier that Aksyonov was scheduled to make an official visit to Yerevan for an Armenian-Russian interregional forum. According to Aksyonov, he and the speaker of Crimean parliament Vladimir Konstantinov became domestic tourists after sanctions were imposed on them so they now can travel freely only in Russia. “Today our movement is limited, and we are relieved to hear that we are invited to a place,” Aksyonov was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
