5th “Open Game” Championship of Developers of Computer and Mobile Games is ongoing
A few days ago the second stage of the annual “Open Game” Championship of Developers of Computer and Mobile Games took place. During this stage the participants had the chance to introduce their games to the Jury members and get their advice on how to further develop them.
According to the Jury, the participants, having registered and participating in the championship, already demonstrate high professionalism and effective teamworking. Registartion will be open till October 6. All interested persons are welcome to complete the application for participation by visiting www.opengame.am, the press service of the Union of IT Enterprises said (UITE).
The “Open Game” Championship is organized already for the 5th time in a row by joint efforts of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) and “Orange Armenia” CJSC. This year Huawei company is the partner of the championship.
The objective of this championship is to develop the market of game development in Armenia, create business environment, have “Made in Armenia” brand in IT domain and penetrate into international market. It also aims to reveal and motivate young talents to build their future in this domain.
To remind that this year for the first time the contestants will compete in different nomination categories in 2 age groups – under 18 and 18+. The winners will receive gifts from Orange Armenia and Huawei companies.
The “Open Game” Championship will be as well presented in the largest exposition in the region – the DigiTec Expo, to take place on October 2-4 at “Yerevan Expo” center. In the scope of this, 3 days in a row IT exposition hackathons will be held in the pavilion dedicated to the “Open Game” Championship. Both the participants and visitors of the exposition will test their strengths in the domain of the game development.
To note that the third and final stages of the championship will be held in October: an exposition will be organized, during which games of finalists will be demonstrated.
