National Security Service of Armenia urges opposition MP Zaruhi Postanjyan to refrain from provocations
National Security Service of Armenia (NSS) reacted to the September 18 statement of MP Zaruhi Postanjyan from the opposition faction ‘Heritage’.
“While speaking on September 18 from the high rostrum of Armenia’s National Assembly, the deputy of Heritage faction Zaruhi Postanjyan allowed herself to make provocative statements.
Unwilling to be involved in emotional and vapid ‘discussions, NSS only reminds that formulations ‘overthrow”, ‘destruction of buildings” and other calls of this kind are typical signs of criminal acts described in the Criminal Code of Armenia and such actions are directly related to the tasks set before national security bodies by the law.
So any calls of this kind, let alone attempts to carry out actions corresponding to these words will be stopped by all legal means at NSS’s disposal,” the statement reads.
