Iran-Armenia railway to play role in regional development: H. Abrahamyan continues meetings in Beijing
Armenia attaches importance to involvement of Chinese companies in the Armenian economy, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said at a meeting with Vice Chairman of the Export-Import bank of China Liu Liange in Beijing, the press office of Armenian government reports.
The Armenian premier said the possibility of implementing large-scale investment projects, including construction of South Railway of Armenia, were discussed in the past few years with the Chinese side.
According to Liu Liange, the Chinese side is interested in deepening its economic ties with Armenia. He expressed confidence that cooperation will continue to develop and expand.
Mr. Liange stressed the importance of Iran-Armenia railway construction, which could play an important role in the development of the region.
On the same day Prime Minister Abrahamyan and the Armenian delegation members visited the Summer Palace in Beijing that used to be the summer residence of the Qing dynasty.
