Names of soldiers wounded in Azerbaijani rocket fire released, criminal case opened
Investigative Committee (IC) of Armenia opened a criminal case in connection with the killing of 4 Armenian servicemen by Azerbaijani troops and the attempted murder of several others on September 25.
The press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic reported that around 5:30 pm, yesterday, September 25 Azerbaijani troops fired shells from a Turkish-made TR-107 rocket launcher at a military position in the northeastern direction. 4 servicemen of the NKR Defense Army were killed – Norayr Khachatryan, 20, Robert Mkrtchyan, 20, Harut Hakobyan, 18, and Karen Shahinyan, 18.
According to the press service of Armenian IC, the following soldiers suffered wounds and were hospitalized: Arkady Muradyan, Harutyun Tovmasyan, Karen Vardanyan, Vanik Martirosyan, Tatul Poghosyan, Sergey Eloyan, Khachatur Papikyan, Yasha Baghdasarov, Arman Stepanyan, Narek Tarumyan, Karen Yeremyan, Safar Safaryan, Vurg Galstyan, Razmik Khacharyan, Sedrak Gharibyan, and Hayk Hovhannisyan.
The criminal case was opened based on the facts of intentional murder of two or more people, committed in a way dangerous to lives of many people, out of ethnic, racial or religious hatred, and also the facts of attempted murder committed in a way dangerous to lives of many people, out of ethnic, racial or religious hatred. A preliminary investigation is underway.
