President of Armenia says the Azerbaijani behaviour has to do with the stance of international actors
«As the history of mankind has proven many times, the pathway adopted by the Azerbaijani authorities – the path of committing crimes against humanity either leads to international punishment, or to the scaffold erected by their own people running out of patience», - President Serzh Sargsyan said in a statement before turning to the agenda of the Sixth session of the State Commission on Coordination of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, according to the Armenian President press office.
According to the press release, President Sargsyan said at the beginning of the State Commission session: «Before getting to the agenda items, I have to make a statement regarding the developments of the last two days».
«On the eve of the 70th General Assembly of the United Nations and in the process of another round of efforts by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmen Azerbaijan, in front of the eyes of the entire international community, confident about its impunity and excited about the track record of various international actors putting signs of equality between the sides engaged in the conflict and their actions, yet again and impertinently breaches the obligations to maintain the ceasefire regime that it had shouldered. We had unfortunate losses of human life.
Four young Armenian boys have been killed while protecting the peace of their homeland, servicemen who at the time were far from the area of imminent threat and in the distance of 5km from the frontline were busy with their daily duties. A day before that in their own home, in their garden and in front of the eyes of their beloved three Armenian women – a mother, daughter and and sister – have been killed».
«These people died because the whole world is unable to make clear to Azerbaijan, that the road at the expence of human lives, blood, deprivations and torture, silencing its own citizens in prison cells doesn’t lead to welfare, doesn’t take you to stability and security.
