Karabakh Defense Army responds to offensive actions of Azerbaijan that suffers losses – over 10 killed and wounded
The information spread by Azerbaijani Defense Ministry to the effect that 7 Armenian servicemen were killed in target fire of Azerbaijani troops is not true, Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic said in a statement.
Defense Ministry of NKR said that in response to offensive actions of the Azerbaijani armed forces, the frontline units of the NKR Defense Army resorted to punitive measures, as a result of which Azerbaijan suffered losses in the Akny direction - over 10 servicemen were killed or wounded. The NKR Defense Army had no casualties.
Azerbaijani defense ministry, however, officially acknowledged only 3 casualties. Heavy fighting in various parts of the frontline left 3 Azerbaijani soldiers dead: Veliyev Rauf, Ahmedzade Neman, and Mustafazade Zohrab, the press service of Azerbaijani defense ministry was reported as saying by APA news agency.
