Defense Army of Karabakh halts activity of Azerbaijani troops violating ceasefire
The Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire about 100 times on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan on September 29 and the night of September 30, according to the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
Azerbaijani frontline units fired over 1,700 shots at Armenian positions by using small arms and artillery weapons of various calibers, including 160 shells from 60mm, 82mm and 120mm mortars and AGS-17 and RPG-7 grenade launchers and 4 shells from Turkish-manufactured TR-107 rocket launcher.
The activity of the Azerbaijani side was halted as a result of reciprocal actions taken by Defense Army of the NKR. Armenian troops continue to perform confidently their military duties along the line of contact.
