Zhoghovurd: Intestinal infections rise by 47.6%
‘Zhoghovurd’ paper writes that in the last two months hospitals of Yerevan and Armenian regions have regularly received reports about intestinal infections. Official statistics also confirm a sharp increase in the number of intestinal infections.
Data shows that 1,741 acute intestinal infections were recorded in Armenian in August 2015 compared with 1,179 cases in August 2014, that is, the number of intestinal infections rose by 47.6%.
Out of this number, there were also 171 cases of bacterial dysentery in August as compared with 63 cases in the same month of last year.
