Zhoghovurd: Ara Budaghyan likely to be released from prison
‘Zhoghovurd’ paper predicted in the July 28 issue that the question of releasing the Syunik regional governor’s son arrested in connection with a scuffle would be solved by opening a criminal case related to an attempted murder of the governor of Syunik. Ara Budaghyan, the brother of Avetik Budaghyan killed earlier outside the house of Synuk governor Suren Khachatryan, was among those arrested in the attempted murder case.
Ara Budaghyan is a close friend of two brothers Zakaryans injured in that scuffle. Given this fact, the newspaper predicted that an exchange would eventually take place. The governor’s son would not be released in case of the victims’ complaints. The problem was resolved, and the governor’s son is already at large. So it can be assumed that it is now Ara Budahgyan’s turn to come out of prison.
