Zhamanak: Karen Karapetyan on sale of Electric Networks of Armenia
Armenian MP Karen Karapetyan – the brother of Tashir Group’s owner Samvel Karapetyan – said in May of this year that “any plans to buy Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) are out of the question at the moment”, ‘Zhamanak’ paper writes.
As is known, recently the company of Samvel Karapetyan acquired 100% of ENA shares so the paper’s correspondent asked Karen Karapetyan why he earlier denied such a possibility.
“Now I don’t like, to put it mildly, this deal from a commercial point of view. Yet my personal opinion about the family business and business interests as a whole is one thing, while the interests of the state and the country are quite another,” K. Karapetyan replied.
