Defense Ministry of NKR: Azerbaijan violated ceasefire with small arms
On October 6 and the night of October 7 Azerbaijani troops used mainly small arms during ceasefire violations on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic said.
The frontline Azerbaijani units fired over 1,900 shots at Armenian positions from sub-machine guns, sniper rifles, machine-guns, and Instiglal rifles. Three shells were fired from 60mm mortars.
In addition to violating the ceasefire, the Azerbaijani side also conducted training flights 50 km from the frontline.
“The frontline units of NKR Defense Army followed all the actions of the enemy, resorting to the appropriate measures if necessary,” the ministry said in a statement.
