Zhoghovurd: Nephew of regional governor to be set free
‘Zhoghovurd’ says the issue of ‘releasing’ the son of Syunik regional governor Suren Khachatryan will be resolved through a criminal case opened in connection with the attempted murder of the governor. Khachatryan’s son was arrested over a scuffle in Sdghi Gyol area of Goris.
“In fact, Ara Budaghyan – the man arrested in the attempted murder case – has status of a hostage. Investigators did not even attempt to prove his involvement in the case. Bugdaghyan is likely to remain in detention under Investigative Committee of Armenia releases all the detained relatives of the regional governor.
As far as we know, the governor’s son and driver are already at large. The governor’s nephew Mais recently voluntarily turned himself in to police. He was taken into custody, but there is no doubt that Investigative Committee will release him too,” the paper notes.
