Khachkar to philanthropist and businessman Vahakn Hovnanian unveiled in Yerevan
A khachkar (cross-stone) dedicated to the memory of prominent Armenian businessman, public figure, and philanthropist Vahakn Hovnanian was unveiled in Yerevan, in a residential community named after him – Vahakni taghamas.
The 1.75 meter-high khachkar was carved by Varazdat Hambarzumyan. A repose of the soul service was offered during the unveiling of the cross-stone, according to the office of the Hovnanians.
Businessman, philanthropist Vahakn Hovnanian died in late August of 2015 at the age of 83.
