PM Hovik Abrahamyan welcomes Iran’s First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri at Zvartnots Airport
Iran’s First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri arrived in Yerevan today for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan. The distinguished guest was met at Zvartnots Airport by the Armenian premier, the government press office reported.
During his visit Eshaq Jahangiri is expected to meet with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Speaker of the Armenian parliament Galust Sahakyan, and Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.
Hovik Abrahamyan and Eshaq Jahangiri will have a face-to-face meeting in the Armenian government on October 14, to be followed by an enlarged meeting. Then the Armenian premier and the Iranian first vice president will make a statement for the press. An Armenian-Iranian business forum with the participation of H. Abrahamyan and E. Jahangiri is due on October 15.
Iran’s first vice president will visit the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts and attend a reception on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the Blue Mosque in Yerevan.
