PM Hovik Abrahamyan: Armenian government will continue IT development policy
The information technology industry is one of the most rapidly developing sectors in Armenia, and it is no accident that the IT sector was declared a priority direction of the Armenian government program, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said at an event, during which the results of the 10th International Microelectronics Olympiad were summed up and the awards were presented to the winners.
Synopsys Armenia CJSC was the chief organizer of the Olympiad, while VivaCell-MTs acted as its chief sponsor, according to the press office of Armenian government.
The premier said it is inspiring to watch the development and progress made by the IT industry, but it is also the imperative of our time that the government shall consistently continue its policy aimed at boosting the IT sphere.
In his words, the Armenian government will support any initiative that will help to identify and encourage highly qualified IT employees.
