Chorrord Ishkhanutyun: ECHR judgment cannot affect Armenian Genocide recognition process
“I would not like to consider the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) as a victory or a defeat. We do not need such victories regarding recognition of the Armenian genocide. This does not decide whether there was a genocide or not,” Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan told ‘Chorrord Ishkhanutyun’ paper when commenting on ECHR ruling in the case of Perincek v. Switzerland.
The ruling of ECHR cannot affect any process related to the Armenian Genocide, he said.
