Head of EU Delegation to Armenia: Out of post-Soviet states, in Armenia education is at a high level
When implementing reforms, Armenia received considerable assistance of the European Union, especially with regard to higher education and vocational training, Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan said at a meeting with Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Piotr Switalski.
According to Ashotyan, Armenia is taking an active party in two major educational projects of the EU – Erasmus and Horizon 2020, the press service of Armenia’s Education and Science Ministry said.
The ambassador for his part noted the effectiveness of the educational programs carried out in Armenia. A new association agreement with the EU is now being worked out, with special attention given to the sphere of education, he said.
“Out of the post-Soviet states, education in Armenia is at a high level,” P. Switalski said.
