Catholicos Aram I and UN Special Envoy De Mistura discuss Syria crisis
A political resolution of the Syrian crisis is needed since a military intervention will not help achieve a full and reasonable solution to such a crisis, the Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia Aram I said at a meeting with UN Special Envoy to Syria Steffan De Mistura, according to the website of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia.
Catholicos Aram I said that a political resolution means a political process involving all the sides without any preconditions as it is the people who have the last say.
Aram I reminded Steffan De Mistura that the Armenian community is one of the major Christian communities in Syria and informed him about the difficulties faced by Syrian Armenians.
