NKR Defense Ministry: Azerbaijani troops continue using large caliber guns
Fewer ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan were reported on October 19 and the night of October 20 on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic said.
However, during the indicated period Azerbaijani frontline units continued using large caliber guns, including TR-107 rocket launcher (7 shells), 82mm mortar (2 shells), as well as grenade launchers RPG-7 (3 shells) and AGS-17 (3 shells).
On October 20 and the night of October 21 the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire about 70 times on the line of contact. Over that period Azerbaijani frontline units fired about 1,000 shots, mostly from small arms, at Armenian positions.
The frontline units of NKR Defense Army are in control of the operational situation and continue performing confidently their military tasks.
