Zhoghovurd: Governor of Syunik to ensure high number of voters for new Constitution
‘Zhoghovurd’ paper writes that the governor of Armenia’s Syunik province Suren Khachatryan recently summoned heads of regional cities and villages and told them that they need to ensure a high percentage of those who will vote for the constitutional reform during the December 6 referendum.
According to the paper, he said the numbers should be such that the absence of Maksim Hakobyan, former director of Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine, will not be felt. Members of M. Hakobyan’s team earlier said they would not interfere in any processes related to the referendum. When contacted by the paper, Suren Khachatryan said: ‘I did not say such a thing, but I am going to do it. I have no problems with Maksim Hakobyan, but there are tasks that I shall undertake myself”.
