Results of second stage of ENA audit to be released soon, Robert Nazaryan says
The Head of Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) Robert Nazaryan said today he did not meet with President of Tahsir Group Samvel Karapetyan to discuss issues concerning Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) Company.
As regards the proposals related to a program of ENA improvement, Nazaryan said the proposals have not yet been submitted to PSRC.
“I know that an anti-crisis program on ENA improvement has been worked out. I am not familiar with its details at the moment. I think we will get information about it soon,” the commission chairman said during a briefing today.
He also noted that the consulting firm will finish the second stage of ENA’s audit in the next few days, with the results to be available at PSRC’s website by the end of next week.
As was reported earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan announced at the government session on October 1 that the Armenian authorities asked President of Tashir Group Samvel Karapetyan to purchase Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC from Inter RAO. Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia (PSRC) on October 1 gave its consent for the sale of 100% of ENA shares.
“Tashir Group President Samvel Karapetyan expressed a willingness to provide his personal funds to compensate – on a parity basis with the government – the power tariff rise for households consuming up to 250 kWh and small businesses until August 1, 2016,” the prime minister said.
