Zhoghovurd: Karen Demirchyan to be awarded posthumously
‘Zhoghovurd’ paper writes citing its sources that on October 26 the late Armenian and Soviet leader Karen Demirchyan will be given a posthumous award for his great contribution to recognition of the Armenian Genocide. Yet it is not the Armenian authorities that will confer the award.
“A pan-Armenian commission on the Armenian Genocide recognition has been set up in Moscow. The Commission will award medals to famous politicians who made a remarkable contribution to the Genocide recognition. The commission took a decision to honor posthumously Karen Demirchyan,” the paper says.
