Meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents may take place before the year’s end, James Warlick says
A meeting of Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan may be expected before the end of the year, the U.S. Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick told a press conference in Yerevan today. In his words, the mediators will discuss the possible presidential summit at the upcoming meetings with the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents.
The U.S. diplomat noted that a constitutional referendum is due in Armenia on December 6, and based on the two presidents’ schedules, their meeting may be organized after the referendum, but before the end of the year. J. Warlick added that given the wide range of issues to be discussed, a presidential meeting needs to be held.
