No serious violations revealed during audits of enterprises owned by Tsarukyan, minister says
Tax and customs agencies of Armenian Finance Ministry conducted audits in six out of the seven enterprises owned by the ex-leader of Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, Finance Minister of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan told reporters in the parliament today.
Checks are planned at yet another company – Ararat Cement Plant, the minister said noting that the audits involved a lot of experts.
“We conducted checks after receiving the relevant instruction. No serious violations were revealed. I should note that the checks were done within the legal boundaries,” Khachatryan said.
During the extraordinary congress of PAP in March 2015, the leader of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan announced his decision to quit active politics and resign as leader of that party and the head of PAP’s parliamentary faction. “I am quitting active politics and I am no longer the party chairman. I ask you not to turn to me regarding any political issue from now on,” Tsarukyan said at that time.
