Armenian parliament speaker offers condolences to V. Matviyenko and S. Naryshkin on Russian plane crash
Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly Galust Sahakyan sent messages of condolence to Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko and Speaker of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin over the crash of a Russian passenger plane in Egypt on Saturday, the press service of the Armenian parliament reported.
“On behalf of the National Assembly of Armenia and myself, I express heartfelt condolences on the tragic crash of the plane en route from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg.
We share your grief and offer condolences to the families of those killed in the crash. We wish them patience and fortitude,” the message says.
All 224 people on the Airbus 321 - most of them Russians - died when it came down over the northern Sinai Peninsula on October 31. Russia observed a day of mourning on Sunday after its worst air disaster.
