Russian Federation Council delegation led by V. Matviyenko visits Tsitsernakaberd Memorial in Yerevan
During an official visit to Armenia, a delegation led by Speaker of Russia’s Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko visited on November 3 Yerevan’s Tsitsernakabert Memorial Complex dedicated to the victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide, the Armenian parliament’s press service reports.
The delegation members, accompanied by Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Hermine Naghdalyan, laid a wreath at the memorial and flowers at the eternal flame to honor the memory of the holy martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
Then the Russian MPs went to the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute where they familiarized themselves with documents about the Genocide and signed the visitor book.
