7 die as bus en route from Moscow to Yerevan overturns near Tula
A bus overturned near the Russian city of Tula, with all the passengers being Armenian citizens, RIA Novost news agency reported citing a source in the regional emergency service.
‘According to preliminary information, all those killed and injured in the accident are Armenian citizens,” the source said.
Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said on Tuesday morning that information was received at 3:10 am on November 3 that a passenger bus en route from Moscow to Yerevan overturned near the city of Uzlowaya in Tula region, Russia.
7 people died in the bus crash in Tula region, Riafan.ru reported. 35 people were taken to hospitals of the cities of Uzlowaya, Kireyevsk, and Bogoroditsk. The police said there were 59 passengers in the bus, and there were no children among them.
The police said an investigative team is investigating into the most likely causes of the crash – it was probably a mechanical failure of the vehicle or the drivel fell asleep at the wheel.
