Deputy chief of Yerevan police Arthur Mehrabyan dismissed
Police Colonel Arthur Mehrabyan, a deputy chief of the Yerevan police, has been relieved of his position by order of Armenian Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan, Panorama.am learned from the police press service.
Police Colonel Sargsis Martirosyan has been appointed to that post.
Armenian Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan earlier ordered an investigation into legality of police actions on public order restoration during the events in Yerevan’s Bagramyan Avenue and Liberty Square on June 23, 2015. The investigation in particular showed as of July 13 that deputy chief of the Yerevan police Arthur Mehrabyan committed a violation . He received a reprimand.
