Zhamanak: MP behaved disgracefully at meeting with Matviyenko
The Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko - who is on a visit to Armenia - was surprised by the conduct of head of ‘Armenian National Congress’ opposition faction Levon Zurabyan who asked her to urge the Armenian authorities to scrap the constitutional reform, according to ‘Zhamanak’ paper.
“Zurabyan can hardly be accused as in the course of his life he has probably become used to women’s decision making and his appeal to Matvieyenko was intuitive. But it is disgraceful for Armenia that an MP asks an official of a foreign country to intervene in domestic political affairs,” the paper says.
