Haykakan Zhamanak: High bread prices in Syunik
National Statistical Service data shows that prices of bread made of top grade flour went up by 6.7% in Kapan, Armenia’s Syunik province, in September of this year compared to the same month of 2014 ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily writes. Bread prices rose by 5.7% on average in Armenia during the same period.
This fact is noteworthy as back in September of 2014 and January of 2015 Syunik regional governor Suren Khachatryan held consultations with bread manufacturers of the province, and a decision was taken by reduce bread prices by 40 drams, according to information released by the regional administration.
