Government discusses long-term development prospects of Armenian energy system
A discussion of the current state, challenges and long-term development prospects of Armenia’s energy system took place today in the office of the Armenian government. The discussion was conducted by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, according to the press office of the government.
The participants considered ways of ensuring long-term development of the Armenian energy system based on comprehensive studies of the energy sector. They exchanged views on issues of Armenia’s power security and the introduction of new infrastructure, with a number of proposals being put forward .
The premier stressed that the government aims to establish a safe and stable energy system in Armenia. He underlined the importance of joint work of the responsible departments and instructed the ministries of energy and natural resources to finalize the submitted document based on the proposals.
