Healthcare expenditures to increase in Armenia in 2016
86 billion 125 million drams will be allocated to healthcare under the 2016 draft state budget of Armenia, which is by 1 billion 807 million drams or 2.1% more than in 2015, Deputy Finance Minister of Armenia Pavel Safaryan said during debates of the draft state by standing committees of the Armenian parliament.
61 million 281 thousand drams will be allocated for provision of health services to socially vulnerable and special groups in 2016. Besides, allocations for the program on heart operations will amount to 670 million drams.
Debates of the draft state budget of Armenia for 2016 continued today, on November 6, at the joint sitting of the parliament’s standing committee on financial, credit and budget affairs and the standing committee on healthcare, maternity and childhood.
