V. Gabrielyan: Armenian accumulative pension scheme has more participants from private sector than from state one
In Armenia’s accumulative pension scheme there are currently more participants from the private sector than from the state one, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan said at the 4th international conference on modernized systems of pension and social security that started in Yerevan today.
Gabrielyan said the scheme involves about 130 thousand citizens, including 60,000 state sector employees and 70,000 ones from the private sector, although under the law the participation of only state sector workers is mandatory.
According to the deputy PM, an accumulative pension reform is considered one of the most complex as it affects the interests of each person.
