Hraparak: Health minister’s wife has one of most enviable jobs in healthcare
It was rumored that Armenian Health Minister Armen Muradyan who was appointed to that position in 2014 has dismissed his wife Yelena Amirkhanyan working an advisor to the health minister on a voluntary basis since 2006, ‘Hraparak’ paper says noting that it happened quite a while ago, but the minister continues to boast of his deed here and there.
“It turns out that Muradyan’s wife now holds one of the most enviable positions in healthcare sector: she is the head of HIV/AIDS prevention program of Mission East humanitarian aid organization’s Armenian office that receives several million euros each year to prevent HIV/AIDS in Armenia. Salaries in that organization are much higher than the modest salary of an advisor to minister,” the paper writes.
