Armenian soldiers Mikael Torosyan and Vahe Vanoyan posthumously awarded medals
On 13 November President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan signed decrees on awarding, the press service of NKR President’s Office said.
According to the decrees, privates of the NKR Defense Army's N division Michael Torosyan and Vahe Vanoyan were posthumously awarded "For Service in Battle" Medal for bravery shown during the defense of the NKR state border.
Around 9:00 pm on November 12 servicemen Vahe Vanoyan, 20, and Mikael Torosyan, 19, died of gunshot wounds on the frontline position of a military unit of Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic in the southern direction of the line of contact with Azerbaijani troops after the Azerbaijani side opened fire. An investigation is underway, the press service of NKR Defense Ministry said.
