Yevgeny Kaspersky: We will continue assisting Armenia’s initiatives on IT industry development
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today Yevgeny Kaspersky, Director General of the global IT security company Kaspersky Lab, the recipient of the Armenian President’s Global IT Award 2015, the presidential press service reported.
Welcoming Y. Kaspersky and his wife, the Armenian president said Armenia attaches great importance to IT industry, which is one of the key sectors of the country’s economy.
Serzh Sargsyan considered the work done of Kaspersky Lab delivering security for computers and phones as invaluable and wished the company further success.
Y. Kaspersky said he is now on a third visit to Armenia, a country which made a wonderful impression on him. He underlined the progress made by Armenia’s IT sector and said he is happy and proud to receive such a high award.
Noting the increasing role of IT in the world today, Y. Kaspersky said: “We will continue assisting Armenia’s initiatives on the development of the IT sector”.
